CANTON, Mo. – Claire Cudney‘s (Marysville, Kan.) team-high 20 points and Swaranga Fernando‘s (Colombo, Sri Lanka) game-high 20 rebounds were not enough for the Peru State women’s basketball team Wednesday night. The Bobcats fell in Canton, Mo., to Culver-Stockton (C-SC) by the score of 68-52.
Peru State has continued to improve its field goal shooting, but still was not quite as good as their opponents. The Wildcats connected on 30 of 73 field goals for 41.1% and made 5 of 14 from long range for 35.7%. At the charity stripe, C-SC hit three of five for 60%.
