Peru State to hold Blue-White Scrimmage on Friday

PERU – The Peru State baseball team will be holding a Blue-White game on Friday, Oct. 19, at the Tushla Field in Auburn.

Head coach Wayne Albury and his team of 37 will take part in the scrimmage which will serve as a culmination to its fall practices. The Bobcats feature 14 returners from the 17-18 squad. In addition, there are five red-shirts and 18 newcomers to the 2018-19 team.

The nine-inning scrimmage will begin at 6 p.m. There will be no admission to the contest.

The Bobcats will use the rest of the off-season to lift weights and sharpen their skills before opening their official season on Feb. 2 and 3 when they travel to Kansas City, Mo., to face the Avila Eagles in a pair of double headers beginning at 1 p.m.
