PERU – The Peru State men’s basketball team jumped three spots up to No. 17 in the latest NAIA Division 1 Coaches Top 25 Poll released Tuesday.

The Bobcats finished 1-1 last week with a loss on the road to No. 7 Benedictine on Thursday, 67-63, before defeating Clarke on Saturday, 86-72, at home.

The Bobcats host Grand View on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

Four other Heart of America Athletic Conference teams were represented in the poll. William Penn sits at No. 2, Benedictine at 7th, Central Methodist is currently at No. 24 and Granceland is receiving votes.

The Statesmen collected a pair of wins last week. William Penn averaged an impressive 95 points over the course of the 16 games.
