Peru State Volleyball Falls at Baker

PERU – While it could have been that the Bobcat volleyball team was tired from its previous night loss at Benedictine, but whatever the situation, they could not overcome the Baker Wildcats Saturday afternoon in Baldwin City, Kan.

Claire Cudney led the team with a match-high 32 digs – the most of her career since moving into the libero position.

With the loss the ‘Cats fell to 5-13 overall on the year and dropped to 1-5 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart). The Wildcats improved to 8-12 on the season and 3-4 in conference play.

The Bobcats will be on the road Tuesday for one of their long road trips as they travel to Oskaloosa, Iowa. The ‘Cats will take on William Penn at 7 p.m. The Statesmen are 13-5 overall and are 2-2 in the Heart having defeated Culver-Stockton (Mo.) on Saturday.
