PERU – In the series of Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) television games, the Peru State football team will host their television game this coming Saturday, Oct. 13. The games will be carried live on ESPN3, KSMO and Mediacom, with the pregame scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT. Kickoff will be at 2:35 p.m.
It should be noted this is a different time than in the previous three years which had started at 11 a.m.
Peru State will host eighth-ranked Grand View (Iowa) in the afternoon kickoff in the historic Oak Bowl.
For those wanting to watch the game, here are some instructions which may help in securing access:
Individuals who subscribe to Dish Network or DirecTV will be able to stream the game on their televisions (Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, and/or Roku), computers, or other mobile devices. They will have to login to their cable accounts at http://www.espn.com/watch/ and ESPN will verify the account.
Once accessed, click on the “Grand View vs. Peru State (Football)” event under the “Live” category. ESPN is not allowed to display it as a live event until 2:30 p.m. so the event will not show up under the “Live” section until that time. Don’t forget, if you can’t get ESPN3 you can listen to Bobcat football on Otoe County Country – 1600 AM, 105.5 FM or stream live from ncnsportsnow.com.
Entering its fourth season in conjunction with its broadcast partners as well as the Niles Media Group, Heart Football will continue to showcase the talented student-athletes of the league’s institutions.
“The 2017 season was historical for a number of reasons, and having the ability to show off our student-athletes with great broadcast partners is something we are excited to continue in 2018,” said Heart commissioner Lori Thomas. “We are committed to showcasing each campus in the conference as well as providing the best matchups on a weekly basis.”
Peru State head coach Steve Schneider supports the broadcasts. Schneider noted, “The opportunity to play when being broadcasted via different mediums and to a large constituency is a benefit to all of the Heart teams. It has been interesting seeing the process of what all is entailed in producing the games.”
The Bobcats will also be on ESPN3 on Oct. 27 when they take on Graceland in Lamoni, Iowa. This game time has been adjusted to 1 p.m.
