Peru State’s Lyle Hexom earns NAIA All-America first team honors

Peru State senior Lyle Hexom was named to the NAIA Division I All-America first team on Thursday.

The Omaha South graduate, a 6-foot-8 forward, finished the season sixth in the nation in scoring at 20.9 points per game, fifth in rebounding (10.3), third in blocked shots (2.4) and third in 3-pointers made (111).

His teammate, Brandon Jones, was an honorable mention selection.

They led the Bobcats to a 23-11 record, which was the most single-season wins for the program since the 1996-97 season.
