Three suspects arrested in shooting death of Lincoln man

Three Lincoln residents have been arrested — one in Texas, two in New Mexico — as part of an investigation of the shooting death of a 42-year-old Lincoln man, according to Lincoln police.

Stacy Talbot died after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police and fire personnel were called to the 3400 block of North 14th Street shortly before 8:30 p.m. Oct. 18 on a report that a man had jumped out of a moving vehicle.

They found Talbot, who was taken to a local hospital but later died.

A 27-year-old Lincoln man was arrested early Friday in Leon County, Texas, on an accessory to a felony warrant.

Lincoln police also were notified early Saturday that a 32-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, both of Lincoln, had been arrested in Clovis, New Mexico.

Investigators had obtained a felony theft arrest warrant for the man.

The woman had an outstanding warrant unrelated to the investigation.
