Video of Lincoln home invasion that preceded homicide prompts tips to police

Tips have been flooding into a Lincoln police tip line after the release of a video of a home invasion that preceded the slaying of 36-year-old Jessica Brandon.

Police said the invasion and the violence that followed was not random. Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the people involved.

The surveillance video is from an infrared camera, so black clothing may appear white and vice versa.

The tip line set up by the Lincoln Police Criminal Investigations Unit can accept calls and text messages. If people recognize someone in the video, they are asked to call or text 402-429-1774.

People who live or work near the north Lincoln house where the slaying occurred and have a video surveillance system are asked to call Lincoln police.
