2018 Legislative Session Begins Wednesday

LINCOLN – Wednesday marks the start of new legislative sessions, both in Nebraska and in Washington. News Channel Nebraska’s investigative political reporter Joe Jordan says the Nebraska Legislature has several issues to address.

:25     “…on property taxes.”

The state’s overcrowded prison system also continues to be a concern.

:19     “…within the prison system.”

Jordan says the tax issue could find its way onto the election ballot in November.

:31     “…in the state.”

And in Washington, Jordan says getting things done won’t get any easier.

:46     “…even the Senate.”
