Burwell woman dies following two-vehicle crash

A 24-year-old woman died Monday from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash near Burwell, Nebraska.

A Nebraska State Patrol dispatcher identified the woman as Katelyn A. McClintic-Brown of Burwell. Two children in the vehicle McClintic-Brown was driving were treated for minor injuries.

Investigators determined that McClintic-Brown was southbound on Nebraska Highway 11 when a northbound vehicle driven by Tammy J. Hruza, 59, of Burwell, crossed the center line. The vehicles collided east of Burwell near mile marker 90.

The patrol did not report any injuries for Hruza. The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office and Burwell Police Department assisted the patrol in the crash investigation.

Burwell is about 90 miles north of Kearney.
