Man Rushed to Hospital After a Spud Gun Explodes in His Hands

LINCOLN, Nebraska. – A 47-year-old man sustained serious injuries after shooting a spud gun in northeast Lincoln on Tuesday morning.

A witness told police that after seeing the man holding the potato gun, he heard a loud exploding sound and saw the man covered in blood.

The incident took place in the 3000 block of N. 48th Street. It’s unclear if the man will be cited.

The man was taken to the hospital on Tuesday. His condition remains unknown at this time and the fire inspector has not been able to interview the man about the incident.
