NSP Educating Youth Drivers Through “Life-Like” Demonstrations

LINCOLN – With teen drivers, ages 16 through 20, representing the highest number of unbelted fatalities, Troopers throughout Nebraska conducted 60 safety presentations from July through September.

Teens got to experience “life-like” demonstrations through rollover and driving simulators, and a seat belt convincer.

With students being back to school and driving to after-school activities, the Nebraska State Patrol and the Nebraska Department of Transportation will continue their safety education efforts through December.

Those interested in scheduling a safety presentation at their school or business can visit their website for more information.
