Police dog bites volunteer in the lip during National Night Out event in Norfolk

A police dog really sank his teeth into a National Night Out demonstration in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Tuesday, police hosted their Night Out event at Central Park in south-central Norfolk.

The night’s activities included a demonstration featuring the dog, police said. The demonstration involved an adult male volunteer wearing protective bite equipment, police said.

During a second demonstration, the police dog bit the volunteer in the lip, causing an injury, police said.

Norfolk rescue squad personnel were at the event and treated the volunteer, who was later taken to Faith Regional Health Services for additional treatment.
