Authorities recovered 101 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Grand Island.

About 11:40 a.m. Monday, a Nebraska State Patrol trooper stopped a female driver the trooper said was failing to stay in a lane and following too closely. The trooper became suspicious of criminal activity and searched the vehicle, a 2018 Chevy Tahoe.

The trooper found three large duffel bags with sealed packages of marijuana. The estimated street value was $303,000.

The 32-year-old driver, from North Carolina, was booked into the Hall County Jail on suspicion of possession of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver and no drug tax stamp.
