Columbus Officer Shot Trying To Serve Warrant
Law enforcement is at the scene of an active shooting at 3410 16th St.

COLUMBUS  — A Columbus Police Officer was life flighted to an Omaha trauma center after a shooting Thursday night.

According to Nebraska State Patrol Troop B Commander Paul Hattan, Columbus Police were serving a warrant at around 7:45 p.m.  when the officer was shot.

A report Thursday, said the officers injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
