Former Riverton Clerk Sentenced To Home Confinement

A US District Court Judge has sentenced former Riverton City  Clerk Carol Jennings to six months home confinement and ordered her to pay $77,000 in restitution.

Court records say Jennings provided false information to her bank and deposited Riverton funds for her personal use.

The FBI and the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office investigated the matter, which was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
