NEBRASKA CITY – Light snow is forecast to develop after midnight tonight and continue into Sunday morning, according to the National Weather Service office in Valley.
A fast-moving weather system will drop one to two inches in Nebraska City, Plattsmouth, Shenandoah, Rock Port and Peru. A trace to one inch is expected in Falls City, Pawnee City and Tecumseh.
A winter weather advisory is in effect from midnight tonight to noon Sunday for northwest Missouri.
The weather service says freezing drizzle could occur when the snow ends, but no ice accumulation is anticipated.
A wintry mix of freezing drizzle and snow is in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday. Some snow and ice accumulation is possible and could cause travel difficulties.
Another system could bring some more light snow on Thursday.
