AUBURN – The superintendent of Auburn Public Schools has been suspended with pay, but the school board is yet to say why.
The board’s meeting minutes indicate closed sessions on Dec. 10 and there were reports of citizens attending a Dec. 21 meeting with complaints.
On Wednesday, the board formerly suspended Kevin Reiman.
Facebook reports indicate that the board is reacting to a video, purportedly taken by school surveillance cameras and played at Reiman’s home over Christmas break.
The video shows a fight between two male students and a voice suspected to be Reiman’s is commenting that another student does not seem to know what to do about the events happening before him.
There is laughter as the onlooker decides to step around the fight in the hallway.
The voice, believed to be the superintendent, commends a student and teacher who intervene.
